WARNING TO HOTMAIL AND YAHOO AND OTHER STAFF: BEFORE TAKING ACTION
THAT MIGHT DAMAGE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THIS SERVICE, CONTACT
TECH@READNOTIFY.COM AND PROVIDE SUITABLE REPLACEMENT TECHNIQUES.
FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED DELIBERATE ANTI-COMPETITIVE
BEHAVIOR AND ILLEGAL TRADE BARING: LEGAL ACTION FROM US WILL RESULT
That silly threat is an HTML comment that won't be seen by many people.
I don't see any connection between READNOTIFY.COM and MailTracking.com
or 1800patches.com.
Am I missing something or is that silly threat mere smoke intended to
involve READNOTIFY.COM?
My logs and traps got a bunch of less entertaining 1800patches.com
just before some instances of this silliness. Could some 5yz responses
have caused them to enter full kook mode?

Anonymous American Bulk Emailers Against Spamhaus Posted by Steve Linford to news.admin.net-abuse.email The time has come to put a stop to the unlawful, Nazi-like power and authority Spamhaus has developed. Spamhaus has been ?lucky? to have gotten away with the Unjust Pseudo-Law they have managed to develop thus far in America, a country that should have IGNORED them a long-time ago. America Is Going To Stop Spamhaus?s Influence Starting Today: Spamhaus actually has NO real legal authority in America. Our government gives them no mention and no power to govern our internet. Spamhaus is simply self-empowered by the SBL/XBL listings that feed our ISPs. From here on out - American Companies will NOT be punished for a Spamhaus Listing until PROVEN GUILTY of an American Law. Happy spamiversary CNet news.com. April 14, 2004. On April 12, 1994, a pair of attorneys in Arizona launched a homemade marketing software program that forever changed the Internet. "Send coconuts and cans of Spam to Cantor & Co.," one outraged Usenet reader wrote amid the uproar that followed the Canter & Siegel message. "(Be sure to drop the can of Spam on its seam first.)" Yet the spam problem has only seemed to grow worse each year, as spammers adopt potent new tactics that make Canter's Perl script seem quaint by comparison. In a worst-case scenario, spammers may now work hand-in-hand with overseas organized crime groups, employing Trojan-horse attacks that can turn PCs into "zombie" machines that spew out spam under the noses of their unwitting owners. Infected machines can then be rented or sold to underhanded marketers looking for a cheap way to send out millions of messages in hopes of garnering a handful of sales leads. President George W. Bush's signing of that law in December, which capped years of legislative maneuvering, satisfied next to nobody. Despite a flurry of lawsuits by major e-mail providers, it has yet to curb the flow of spam. Happy spamiversary at CNet news.com |

Chicago suntimes.com. March 19, 2004. Among many, many, many other theological proclamations Ted Jesus Christ makes in his e-mail to me is his belief that Satan is attacking his ministry by hacking into his Web site, www.tedjesuschristgod.org. God is also anti-spam, he wants you to know. "Ted Jesus Christ God does NOT SPAM and this is NOT SPAM because this complies with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003," he wrote. Sometimes Jesus calls, sometimes Ted sends e-mail [Ed. Note: Emphasis added to above quote from the article. The irony is a bit obvious, but I didn't want anyone to miss it. The writer of the article certainly didn't.] |
